Las Mariposas CIVIL WAR DAYS 2009 : Hello Re-enactors, Welcome to my website. I hope you enjoy the photos!!! The printed photos have to be a specific size due to the 'frames' that border them (5x7, 10x14, or 4x5, 8x10...depending on the photo). However, I can make the photos any size (or without a border) if I know which picture is desired. Each photo has a corresponding number. Just scroll to the right of the photo (click on the letter 'i' for information) and you will see the photo information , including its number. Email me and let me know which photo you want and how you want me to customize it. There is no extra charge to customize a photo. I do not recommend the option of Color Correction!! ALSO... Calico Civil War Reenactment 2010 : Hello Re-enactors. Welcome to my Calico 2010 folder. Most of the photos are 5x7 because of the frames that I put around them. You cannot convert these to 8x10 when you order because you will chop off some of the photo. HOWEVER, I will customize any photo for free, convert it to an 8x10 is you wish, add frames, eliminate frames, process in color...just let me know. All you need is the photo number for reference. As you can see, I used different methods in Photoshop to recreate the uniqueness of each individual photo. You will see some shots twice because different effects were applied. Most of the shots are candid, so there are many 'back' sides (you can imagine why I didn't stand in front of them). Perhaps next time I will have more time to photograph everyone. Horse Camp : Horse Camp photos are up (there’s a lot more to come). Posted are the trail ride and the mock show photos (the last half of these pictures). You can buy them from my website (at my cost) but be aware that the cost of postage and handling is about $5. So, if you order several at one time, it would be more economical. Some of the photos may seem a bit out of focus. It's because I enlarged a bunch. Even with that humongous lens, I was still too far away. Maybe next time, I can plan better and stand a little closer. There are several 'strip' photos, that you cannot order, but you can down load (feel free to download any of the photos). Because I enlarged some of the photos, you may see a warning appear that states that the resolution is too low to enlarge the photo. In that case, order a smaller size. Hilton House : I moved into this beautiful home, November 2003 (One hundred years after the home was built). It took me eight years of research to find these photos. The oldest picture that I had was taken in 1990. After researching Ancestry.com, Ellis Island, Find A Grave, etc, I finally found and was able to contact the family associated with the man who built this house (1903). But better than that, I found Charles Hobbs' daughter, Katt, who was born in the house in 1914. I contacted her and she brought her family out to Redlands to visit her old homestead. I had a wonderful visit with her as she told story after story. She loaned me three old photo albums dated from 1903. I scanned the photos as gingerly as I could without hurting them. She also left me with her journal of growing up here as well as her older sister's (b.1909 d.2006). The facts describing the photos came from the albums and the journals.
